AdWords Ad Groups Best Practices
Roy, I've seen some people recommend less than 15 keywords in an ad group and even some strategies that suggest 1 keyword per ad group with the idea that building out a larger mix of ads will improve relevancy hoping to increase CTR. What are some of your AdWords ad groups best practices?
More Ad Groups means more work. It's going to be a matter of how much effort you can justify. If you have zero time and resources to dedicate to the project, then go broad, and target your ROAS goal. If you have the time, then by all means, spread it out a bit, and target your ROAS goal. The only reason to not go more specific if you have the time is that further subdivision might make your targets too small to be able to make statistically relevant bidding decisions. Bigger impression buckets make decisions faster, after all. In the end, did I mention you should target your ROAS goal?
